German Shepherd Dog (medium coat) Dog

Elvis the Dog needs a home

Please contact Adoption ([email protected]) for more information about this pet.

Being a Featured Dog is welcome Celebrity Status for Coastal dogs. For example, a few months ago sweet Rudi was patiently waiting for her moment to shine…and shine she did! So much so, that she quickly found a great forever home.

Now, it’s Elvis’ time to capture the spotlight.

Wanted: Loving Retiree, preferably single, looking for a loyal friend and companion for life.

No, this isn’t a audition for “Jailhouse Rock!” It’s a cry for help!

In 2015, Elvis had been residing with Coastal for quite some time. He was feeling like “Nothing But A Hound Dog.” Then he became a Featured Dog and his new Dad came into his life. Elvis was “All Shook Up” in the best way possible. Unfortunately, his adoptive Dad became ill, but he kept Elvis until he simply couldn’t care for him any longer.  So now, it’s “Return to Sender” for Elvis and once again, it seems as if he’s living in “Heartbreak Hotel.”

Elvis’ ideal companion is someone older (retired, perhaps), preferably single, living a quiet life with no other dogs and not a lot of visits by strangers.  Someone who “Can’t Help Falling In Love” with him.

Elvis has mellowed a bit over the past year; that happens when you’re a senior citizen. However, Elvis has no arthritis or other health issues, and still has the spark and curiosity of a younger dog. He has some skin allergies, particularly around his eyes. But, with a little tender loving care and new allergy medication, he’s doing much better, “thank you… thank you very much.”

Elvis is a GSD who takes his job of protecting home & family very seriously. He is intelligent and loyal.

Elvis walks nicely on a leash and loves to go for rides in a car. He LOVES to swim; in fact, he’s a cannon-ball champion when it come to playing water fetch! In addition, Elvis has had extensive training and follows commands well.  He’s very easy to have at home…as long as he’s the main attraction. In other words, he is a happy “only dog.”  He’s definitely not a fan of children, as the fast movements that most small children make can make him jumpy.

If you can help Elvis, he would be so thrilled that he won’t have to sing “Lonesome Tonight” anymore. And we promise, Elvis will truly love you tender, love you sweet, and never let you go!
